Math Circle initiative at IIIT-Delhi

The Math Circle initiative at IIIT-Delhi shall provide a platform for school students in and around the National Capital Region (NCR) to interact with our faculty, both online and in person. We shall facilitate this through the following means.

  1. We shall maintain a collection of mathematical literature suitable for school students.

  2. We shall publish problems online including contests and invite submission of solutions.

  3. We shall organize workshops regularly on campus (post COVID-19 crisis).

IIIT-Delhi Math Circle workshops will include lectures and problem solving sessions. Our workshops will involve participation by selected students from NCR schools. We shall reach out to school principals regarding this when a workshop is scheduled.

IIIT-Delhi Math Circle will primarily focus on students in classes 9 to 12. Schools, individuals and other stakeholders are welcome to reach out to us at mathcircle@iiitd.ac.in.

The Department of Mathematics also has an active Women in Mathematics program. In congruence with their charter, we will strongly encourage participation by young women students for all our Math Circle events.
