For us at Godspeed, we wanted our design to be more than just an ordinary lamp. For that reason, we Designed iWoz to be a lamp that not only functions as a traditional lamp, but also allows you to Completely move each of its hinges to set its angle with our app (Discussed below). We also added two special modes, Deadline and Ambience. The Deadline mode allows us to add our deadlines and checklists with a time period. As the clock inches closer and closer to instances on the checklist or towards the deadline, The light of the lamp changes from white to red. Till the checklist is checked off and till the deadline is completed, this light functions as a warning system as well. Ambience mode allows the user to customise the lights for a more mood related setting.

The Design of our interactive smart lamp was made so as to be a more modern take on the traditional lamp. We took what was considered a rustic Design and Loaded it with many new features that brought it to the level of other 21st century Gadgets.
For the Design, we faced a couple of hiccups along the way and had to scrap the original one for a smaller and sleeker design that would be better for the motors that we were using. In the end, our design was basically a smaller version of the 3d model shown above. The Image on the right shows the original idea and the picture in the poster shows the final design.
Rather than hide all the wiring that existed in between, we elected to allow the design to have a more DIY look. These are extremely popular in todays day and age and thus, we felt that not only would it be easier on the motors, it would appeal to people today. (Image on the bottom right. Light is in deadline mode).

As mentioned before, iWoz has three main functions.
The motor function is done by using 3 nine gram servo motors. The Lights are RGB Led's and have been coded through Arduino so as to respond to user inputs.
These functions are controlled through the app which is connected via a bluetooth module that is prsent in the base of iWoz.
iWoz also has another feature hidden in the base. This is the ultrasound sensor feature. This feature is used to conserve electricity in our smart lamp. Unless the student is at the table or has remotely kept iWoz on, iWoz switches off the moment that the person moves away from the lamp.
Our App was designed through MIT App Inventor. The various screens of our app can be seen in the pictures on the sides. The app is controlled entirely through this app.
The Main screen of the App is the centerpiece of our poster on the top of this page. It can also be seen on the top left.
The motor screen has buttons to control the direction of each motor, one to move it up and one to move it down. It can be seen on the top right.
Ambience mode has many mood and fun lighting options built-in. It can be seen on the bottom right.
Deadline mode allows us to select the time for the deadline and feed this input to the lamp. It can be seen on the bottom left.
