Regulations

The program permits students from other institutions to undertake internships at IIIT Bhagalpur for a duration of 4-12 weeks.

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the online mode, via the link available on the Institute website

Applications will be reviewed and recommended by a Scrutiny Committee, and selected candidates will be informed via email..

Students enrolled in a degree program at any academic institution and desirous of undertaking an internship at IIIT Bhagalpur shall apply through the link available on the IIIT Bhagalpur Summer Internship website. 

The online applications received shall be processed by the Head of the Departments. 

The internship shall be offered only during the summer vacation of IIIT Bhagalpur.. 

The list of selected candidates, along with the names of their supervisors, shall be uploaded on the Institute website with the approval of the Head of the Department. The department shall also intimate the same to the selected candidates. A waiting list may be prepared, if necessary.

Students selected for the internship may be provided hostel accommodation, subject to availability, on a payment basis. Applications for accommodation shall be submitted to the office of the Chairperson, Warden Council, through the concerned supervisor. The cost of food and access to other amenities shall be borne by the interns. 

The interns shall be governed by the Institute’s rules and regulations during their stay. They may be issued temporary identity cards by the respective department and shall be permitted access to the library, internet, and other Institute facilities. 

Upon completion of the assigned work, interns shall submit a report to the supervisor detailing the work carried out during the internship period. Upon receipt and satisfactory evaluation of the report, the concerned supervisor shall issue a “Summer Internship Certificate” to the intern. 

No grades shall be awarded by IIIT Bhagalpur for the work carried out during the internship period. However, if the parent institute requires grades or marks in a prescribed format, the same may be issued on completion of the assessment with the approval of the concerned Head of the Department (HoD) .

A certificate of completion shall be awarded only to candidates who successfully complete the internship.

The internship fee shall be  Rs. 5000/- (Including GST)

Students who have completed (or are currently in) at least the 2nd year of BE/B.Tech/Integrated M.Tech, or the 3rd year of B.Sc./B.S., or the 1st year of M.Sc./M.Tech, are eligible to apply. Specific departments may prescribe additional minimum eligibility criteria.
