About

Shubham is a hard-working person having the zeal to do something for the environment. He is a forestry and wildlife enthusiast and loves to interact with frontline workers and local tribes. Being humble is part of his personality. He understands the importance of creating rapport for any project to be successful. He is sincere and dedicated to his work. His hobbies include tree identification, traveling, trekking, camping, and playing the drums.

SI Project Title: Assessment of plantation activities in Uttarakhand done by state Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority.

Achievements

• Secured the First rank in B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry with 85.4%

• Won First prize in the Biodiversity Quiz at IIFM on the occasion of World Snake Day 2022

• Received NSS ‘Best Volunteer Award 2019’ for initiating a “single-use plastic-free campus” campaign and for up-cycling the waste collected

• Worked on a Forest Extension project under Experiential Learning Program to successfully raise around 2000 Eucalyptus seedlings in Nursery
