WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE
Dear IICS Parents,
The Refugee Outreach Comittee is holding their annual Winter Clothing Drive. The purpose of this drive is to gather warm clothing as winter approaches to help Refugees around us. We are requesting that you send your children with winter clothing that can be in womens’ sizes, mens’ sizes and children’s sizes. The clothes can’t have holes, they need to be washed before they’re donated. The clothing can be pants, hats, jackets, sweaters, blankets, scarves, ear muffs, gloves, and any other neccesity for the winter.
The drive will be held from the 22nd October to the 3rd of November. Please note that on the 1st of November there will be the Fall Fun Run, and you cna bring the clothes then if you are participating.
Thank you,
ROC

HEALTH SCREENINGS (RECOMMENDED)
This is a mandatory announcement for schools from the Ministry of Education.
Dear Parents,
The health and well-being of our children is a top priority. In this context, we would like to inform you about two important health screenings that are strongly recommended:
1. PPD Test (Tuberculin Skin Test) – For children aged 0 to 15:
This test helps detect tuberculosis (TB) infection early. It is a simple and safe skin test that plays an important role in preventive healthcare. We recommend that all children between the ages of 0 and 15 be tested.
2. Hearing Test – For 1st Grade Students Only:
Hearing is essential for a child's language development, communication, and academic success. Early detection of any hearing issues can prevent long-term challenges. For this reason, hearing tests are recommended specifically for 1st grade students.
We also advise you to consult your child’s pediatrician regarding these screenings. Your doctor can provide personalized guidance and arrange for the tests if needed.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact us.
Wishing you and your family continued health and well-being.
Best regards,
IICS Clinic
