Classroom Policies - Religion
I'm looking forward to this year and creating a wonderful, engaging learning experience together and helping the students to grow in their faith.
These classroom policies will help ensure a successful and productive year for all students.
General Assignments:
Presentation: All assignments must have a proper header, be written neatly and the students must use blue or black pen on loose-leaf paper.
Neatness: Messy work will be returned for correction before being graded. Please encourage your child to proofread and revise his/her work for clarity.
Corrections: Avoid using whiteout or crossing out mistakes. Instead, have your child neatly rewrite the corrected version.
Notebooks: Notebooks should be written in neatly. If a mistake is made while taking notes, draw a line through it and write the correction. No scribbling in the notebooks.
Grading:
Students will be evaluated on a variety of assessments, including:
Class participation
Tests
Projects
Homework
Class notebook
They are responsible to turn in their work on time and to make up any work missed due to absences.
Parental Involvement:
As parents, you play a vital role in your child's education. You are their primary educator. Even though they are in 5th grade, they need your guidance and support. Here's how you can help:
Stay informed: Be aware of upcoming assignments and projects.
Review their work: Encourage them to show you their completed work and offer feedback on neatness and clarity.
Communication:
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I am committed to providing prompt replies.

Steam Policies:
Students will be involved in interactive classes where they will learn the Engineering Design Process and incorporate it into investigations, which they will work on throughout the year. The goal is to develop lifelong learners in this 21st century. Students' grades will be based on their application of skills learned and employed in the investigations.
The expectation is for the students to work to the best of their ability while applying new skills to problem solve and investigate real-world problems.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. This should be an interactive and engaging time for the students.
May God bless each of you,
Sr. Frances Carol, OSFS
