• 📣IHM will be celebrating our Veterans for all of their outstanding service and bravery!  The Veterans Day ceremony will be on Tuesday, November 11th. Below is the google form for veterans to sign up. Come out and honor our heroes with us!

• Volunteer opportunities are available to help with first grade lunch and recess. If you are interested in signing up the information is below.  

• A message from Ms. Gervay

Dear Parents,

 We are looking for lunchtime assistance to monitor the children in the cafeteria during the 1st and 2nd grade lunch period from 11:50 am to 12:20 pm and outside during recess (12:20-12:40 pm).

***YOU MUST HAVE A CURRENT BACKGROUND CHECK ON FILE AT THE RECTORY BEFORE VOLUNTEERING.

 During this volunteer time, parents are expected to roam the cafeteria, paying particular attention to the whole grade level of their child (ie, 1st grade side vs 2nd grade side); help children with opening any packaging; and keep the students in their seats as much as possible. Bathroom requests should be referred to the Teacher Assistants. When out during recess, parents are expected to spread out to monitor all areas of the playground/blacktop. Please do not play with the students, as that will take your eyes away from the others.

HOMEWORK:

Math:  Subtraction- Complete subtraction practice page and practice your subtraction facts.

Reading: We will read Danny and the Dinosaur go to Camp. This will be a two-week book study.

Sight words- Practice words 26-50 daily. We will test these words this week. 

Spelling: All spelling packets are due by Friday. Practice your words daily. 

Phonics: L blends (cl,fl,bl,)

Mrs. Nolan's reading group- all hw will be sent home in the blue folder by Mrs. Nolan.
