1. Stages is the steps a living thing goes through as it grows.

2. Shed is when an insect allows its skin or shell to come off and be replaced with a new one that has grown underneath the old one. 

3. Crumpled means creased, bent, or crooked. 

4.  A fact is something that is always true. 

5. A butterfly is a type of insect that develops from a caterpillar, becomes a pupa, and flies only in the day time.
