Bristle brushes are great for getting things like loose dirt and hay off your horse's body and it is also good for their face because of the soft bristles.
Curry Combs are great for getting that stuff mud and dirt in your horse's hair that a bristle brush wont grab. You usually use a curry comb and then a bristle brush

Hoof picks are used to get that dirt and mud out of the bottom of the horse's foot. You need to be gentle ish of their frog but for the most part horse's feet are pretty solid.
