A: Both of parents.

Q: Is there a possibility that Immigration may request additional documents, and if so, when would this happen?
A: Yes, immigration may require additional documents to support the pass application after it has been submitted; however, this is only on request.
Q: My son is currently in Grade 11 and will turn 18 next year when he is in Grade 12. Will I be eligible for a guardian Pass?
A: The child may still be eligible for a student pass if they are 18, provided they have been studying at IGBIS for years. However, once the child turns 18, the parent will no longer be eligible for a guardian pass, which is subject to immigration approval.
Dependent Pass Application for Younger Siblings
Q: Who is eligible to apply for a dependent pass for younger siblings, and what are the requirements?
A: Younger siblings who are not in school and are under 6 years old can apply for a dependent pass after the older sibling's student pass and the parent or legal guardian's guardian passes have been approved. Once the younger sibling reaches 6 years old, we would advise the child to enrol in school and apply for a student pass.

Important!
Before your child starts school, please ensure that both your social visit pass and your child's are still valid.
If your pass has already expired or if you are currently overstaying in Malaysia, it is advisable for you to address this matter directly with Immigration before your child begins school to avoid potential complications or problems.
If your spouse holds an employment pass, MM2H, or any other passes issued in Malaysia, we strongly recommend consulting your agent or the person responsible for handling MM2H/employment passes to verify the eligibility of both you and your child for dependent passes. In the event that you and your child are not eligible for a dependent pass under your spouse's pass, we kindly request that you proceed with the application for a student and guardian pass.
Before submitting your documents to the school, please thoroughly review them. Once the application is submitted to immigration, regardless of the approval outcome, you will be responsible for paying the applicable service charge and immigration fee. Please carefully consider these factors before proceeding with the pass application process.
