Although last year we achieved a feat worthy of the Jedi Archives by destroying the Death Star, the Force is still strong within us. For in this galaxy, every victory opens the door to new adventures. This year, we leave behind the space battlefields and dive into the dusty circuits of illegal podracing—Tatooine style. Only the boldest, the cleverest, and the fastest will survive this trial where there are no rules… only speed.

The first day began with a short briefing, during which the details of the competition and the challenges ahead were revealed.

MISIÓN 01

The first stage of our galactic adventure was no easy task. Before entering the podracing circuits, our aspiring pilots had to secure a decent amount of galactic credits—the only currency accepted to buy their way into the race.

To earn them, they roamed the corridors of the IES Valle de Aller in search of teachers who, in a past life, had been legendary podracers. Hidden behind their current identities, these veteran racers challenged students to a duel of wits and reflexes: the classic Imperial game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Force, Blaster.

Some teachers, perhaps weary of speed or moved by the passion of the young, handed over their credits without much resistance. But others—craftier and more cunning—rigged the game and raised the stakes: they added special rules, imposed bonus challenges, or even demanded a rematch before surrendering their precious bounty.

Some students were defeated on their first try. Others returned with new strategies. But in the end, many triumphed and claimed their well-earned reward.

MISIÓN 02

The second mission pushed the thrill to the limit with a wild and one-of-a-kind legendary podrace. This time, our brave pilots mounted skateboards, while their engines—blindfolded teammates—pulled them with ropes through a circuit packed with challenges.

Throughout the race, teams had to complete a series of trials: firing a giant slingshot at a droid, sliding a galactic ring onto a pole using a lightsaber without losing precision, and landing three freesbees with Jedi-like aim.

All of this while being ambushed from the flanks by the fearsome Sand People. Fortunately, the Jedi were there to protect them, deflecting incoming projectiles with their lightsabers. Some teachers joined the defense, while others sided with the Sand People… and everyone embraced the chaos!

The atmosphere was unbeatable: laughter, shouting, excitement, and true team spirit. A race truly worthy of the Jedi Council Archives.

MISIÓN 03

After an unforgettable podrace and thrilling duels, the most anticipated moment finally arrived: the great final celebration. Every participant received their well-earned galactic reward—but… that wasn’t the best part.

The best part was the shared laughter, the stories that have now become part of the IES Valle de Aller lore, and of course, the once-in-a-lifetime chance to hurl balls at a teacher without falling to the dark side.

The atmosphere was unmatched: music, joy, and a Force that felt stronger than ever, bringing this edition of Star Wars Day to a spectacular close.
