Este año tenemos dos nuevas auxiliares de conversación: Amanda Evans y Olivia Wells, las dos de Reino Unido. Aquí tenéis información sobre ellas.
Hello everybody!
My name is Mandy, and I will be your language assistant this year. I m from a beautiful seaside town in south Wales called Tenby, but from the age of 6 years old I have lived in Manchester. I don’t have any English family because my dad was Welsh and my mother is Scottish. I studied Modern Languages at Edinburgh University.
I live with my Little Border Collie, called Pollie. We love to go for long walks, and she loves to swim in rivers, lakes or the sea… she just loves water! I love to travel, and to relax I enjoy Reading, listening to music (Stereophonics are my favourite) and watching both rugby and football. Living in Manchester I can see the best team in the world, MANCHESTER CITY!
Fun Fact: I lived in Córdoba many years agio, in Villanueva del Rey, because I had a Spanish boyfriend who I met on holiday in Menorca! We are still frinds, and I visit the family often. So, I am very happy to be back in one of my favourite places in the world!
I am very excited to meet you all, so see you soon!
Hello everyone!
My name is Olivia, I am 20 years old and I am from a town called Darlington in the North East of England. I study Spanish and Italian with TESOL (Enseñanza de inglés a extranjeros) at Sheffield Hallam university and I have just returned from my study abroad in Trento, Italy. I have been studying Spanish for around 7 years but I have never actually visited the country!
Some facts about myself are that I play the piano and I enjoy going to the gym. I love exploring new places and travelling with my friends and family, especially sunny places as the UK is always wet and cold! I also like going to the cinema and listening to music, I enjoy listening to all types of music.
Last year I spent 3 weeks as a teaching assistant in the secondary school that I atended when I was younger. I assisted in Spanish clases of students from 12 to 15 years old which helped massively with my teaching experience.
I am very excited to be working at IES Trassierra and I can’t wait to meet and get to know everyone. See you all son!
