Here you'll find the basic information about the project.
OBJECTIVES:
To learn some vocabulary related to Arts in English.
To learn about collages and the artist Virginia Echevarria.
To create a collage imitating the artist's technique.
COMPETENCES:
Specific competence 2: Analyze their own artistic productions and others productions, arguing opinions with respect and critical sense, in order to build a wide artistic culture, to enjoy and to generate new knowledge.
Specific competence 3: Represent ideas, forms and emotions, using the arts languages, techniques and media, through analytical and creative processes, in order to develop imagination, communication and self-confidence.
Specific competence 6: Carry out projects, disciplinary or transdisciplinary, personal or collective, based on situations and establishing connections with the nearby reality, with involvement and commitment, to communicate, reflect and solve problems.
METHODOLOGY:
There will be some previous activities to know about Virginia Echevarria and specific vocabulary. These activities will be done individually in class and corrected together.
There will be a speaking activity to find a partner.
You'll work in pairs to create your collage.
FINAL PRODUCT:
As a final product you'll have to create a collage.
It must be handwritten, with your portraits.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:
2.1 Describe with curiosity and respect productions of art and design, including contemporary ones, detecting the key elements that make them up, through reflective observation and using the appropriate vocabulary.
2.3 Give an opinion on one's own and others' productions, evaluating the process and the result, making proposals for improvement in a well-argued manner.
3.1 Communicate ideas and emotions, with creativity and sensitivity, based on the observation of the environment and society, contemporary cultural manifestations and cultural heritage, and the resources of their imagination, in visual representation.
6.1 Respond to various approaches in a guided manner, analyzing the work proposal, documenting and using resources appropriate to the needs and communicative purpose of the project.
6.4 Respectfully express opinions and reasoned reflections, to reach a consensus through dialogue in the realization of a project.
