We arrived to new Floor that I was nervous for everything. However This was normal and chill out. So I decided take this photo since my windows.
At the moment I was search around of our new Home. So I walk really Close.
And I Can see the famous "Mini Metro" that it was quite exiting, because is really cute.
Here let show you
Also When I meet with the own the department, He says about recolect trashs and Dont forget Key!. I had forget until I was in front of garbage containers
And everywhere need a Key. This is really Stranger for me. So I decided walk to center of Perugia!
After walking a while in the city center. I went to a museum where there was so much paintings too much epic, here I put me next to a painting that was too much giant!
In other day I go out when was the carnival, where we was looking the different cars with decorations, there was a lot of festival music. Also we was looking for new places near.
In the second week I had been much more busy doing homeworks, but we had time for go out during the night, to what I had realize the quantity of posters everywhere, literal they are in all places, is just about announcements, but also close persons dead... a little creepy.
We had find some little shops, where there was books very old but conserved, also people who was selling different things like clothes, food, etc...
Also in other day I go normally to work, where clearly is see a big day, but later start to rain all the day, so I go out completely wet, but like always we pass by a park, come out very beautiful photos, the truth, of my way to work.
This while I was walking inside the halls of the historic center during the night, I hope visit the same shop during the day, but I don’t remember in which alley was because that was part of the experience :D
Psdt: This week I can't tell more things, because I was sick. So I will finish everything the second week :C
This week was a bit different, I manage to know new places in the same way, from the center moving to different places, until arrive at the end of it. I just let me go, but thanks to that I arrive to a viewpoint that I can't say nothing more than is incredible.
In a moment I arrive to a cinema which I couldn't enter because I had to go back and even I was a bit lost, but before I notice, I was going to lost me more because I arrive to a place where exist a path of paintings with an art that practically call me too much the attention and I follow them for a good time, here some of them...
It looks like a path between the two cinemas (yes, there was two cinemas very close), but I think is a great idea, it was really cool. I don’t know who are the authors, but they transmitted me a lot of feelings. But that was not the end yet, without realizing I had found more alleys and I end up in another place that I never imagine...
In the end, I ended up in a church that was immense, really. Every time I try to immerse myself between the alleys, I always end up lost, but with a new adventure. And here ends the week, I hope to have many more adventures, but for now, these would be it :D
This week was a bit chaotic because we had days of rain and sun. In the end, I get a cold, but it not stop me to visit new places :D
I had see about the chocolate museum in Perugia, so I try to go there, but now you need a reservation to enter. So I take photos from outside. But I not worry because soon I will go inside, I have reservation for next week. Yes!
While I was coming back, I think about find another place to go, and well, this time is the chance for the Archeological Museum of Perugia.
Before arrive to the museum that is next to it, a giant church surprise me, and in the end I also have to go inside, because it looks like art and religion have a very strong chemistry, that surprise me.
Here I took more photos inside the church...
This photo I had take before enter in one of the alleys where I had walk, but literally you go out from the alley and in front was the church!
Now, when I entered the museum, I was really surprised, it was quite big. But it was exciting to learn about the different stages of humans, and there were even sections where they show tools from ancient humans compared to modern humans. There were also sarcophagi, amulets, vases, and a fossil. It was very interesting, here are some photos!
I think it's made of plastic. I’m not sure XD
Once I finished my tour, I tried to go back by another path I didn’t know, but in the end, I ended up in another chapel, which was super cool... And even more when I went inside.
I have to say, I'm surprised by the amount of artwork you can find in both chapels and churches, and my tour almost ended, but not before looking for something to eat!
Well, the week is over and it felt really short, even though there were new adventures. Next week we’ll have the adventure of the chocolate museum, and new things at work. I hope everything goes as I think. See you next week! :D
Almost half of Travel. This week was great. I learnt about how to create chocolate, about process before and after and I taste a lot of chocolate!
The chocolate factory in Perugia is quite big, but it has very few tour spots available. So we went on a day when the factory itself wasn’t working, but it was still amazing anyway. Basically, they gave us a talk about how it started and the important people behind it.
From here you can see the people who are learning to make chocolates, but like I said before, it was a day when there weren’t many things going on, so I didn’t find a chance to do this activity :C
Inside the factory, they have a museum that tells a short story about how the cocoa bean has been selected, showing us the different places in the world where it is taken from. Also, it shows a bit about the different flavors that were created over time, including the molds and the different advertisements that were made. In my opinion, this was what I liked the most, because you can really see the influence of different time periods in the flyers!
There were also old machines that were used in the beginning. Here are some photos...
Here is a photo with the biggest individual chocolate in the world, which has a Guinness record!
The best part of the tour, in my opinion, is that you can see how they make the chocolate, but most of all, you can eat all the chocolates that are made in this factory at this point. Simply delicious!
After they show you how to make chocolates, you go into a hallway where you can see the factory, but at this point it’s not allowed to use the camera. But it’s really interesting, to be honest. Especially the smell of the chocolate! Well, and that’s how the visit to the chocolate factory in Perugia ends. I leave this photo where we were standing on the chocolates :D
I tried to explore a bit on a Friday night. I don’t regret it because there was a nice atmosphere, and even though Perugia is full of hills, there were some escalators that took me up to the center :D
Well, this is how the week ends. It was really interesting because I met new friends and also learned how to make chocolate. I hope next week will be just as exciting. See you next week!
One of the best weeks! I saw some new places in Perugia.
One day, I tried to find a photo I had taken before, of this arch. So, I searched for a way to get there and see it again. Honestly, it’s massive, and during the day, it feels even more epic!
I had visited this place at night. Apparently, it's the old aqueduct of the city, so it's well preserved, and there’s a beautiful view. Here are some photos I took at this spot.
When I saw this bridge, I also tried to get to it!
A little about the view of this beautiful city!
A visit through the city of Dante Alighieri
"On this occasion, I visited a beautiful city: Florence. Honestly, it was a complicated day because there was no direct route, so we had to make several transfers. But it was worth taking the risk. I took photos of some churches as soon as I arrived.
This city is full of churches everywhere — it was honestly amazing. Here are a few of them
After walking around the city, we also made it to the Arno River, which offers beautiful views. But something I found incredible was the buildings on the bridge — it was really amazing. I had seen this in the movie "El Perfume", and seeing it in real life was just awesome
Then I explored the more central part of the city, where I found a replica of Michelangelo's David, along with some other very interesting places
Getting my energy back with a bit of gelato.
Until we finally reached the Baptistery of St. John — a massive cathedral that exudes elegance and history. Simply beautiful...
This wild boar has a history: According to tradition, if you rub its snout and drop a coin into the grate, and it falls through, it means you'll have good luck and return to Florence someday.
Although my coin didn't fall, I will return to Florence again because it was a city I really liked.
A week also included a visit to the city of Pisa for the iconic photo
Some photos right after arriving in the city, which seems quite clean and organized. It’s also less noisy... At this moment, we continued walking through the streets, heading to find the Pisa Tower.
As we walked through the streets of Pisa, we saw the tower in artistic forms made with different materials, which I honestly found incredible.
Before reaching the tower, we came across a huge square, which was really cool. Also, the city's flag, which I think is awesome, is displayed all over the city. Here are some photos showing this.
The closer we got, the more we could see the tower, until we finally spotted it in the distance.
Well, we finally reached the tower, and of course, I asked someone to take the classic photos that most people take. It was really worth it, especially since it looks so funny.
Well, after finishing exploring the tower and the surrounding chapels, which were truly beautiful, we crossed back over the bridge that connects to the city, which I thought was lovely. Here are some photos, and also one of a church on the outskirts.
There's also a small museum inside the bathrooms located in the square, where it shows, as its title suggests, 'Pisa beneath the city.
In the end, we had to leave a bit earlier, as it’s a very small but beautiful city. However, with some ice cream, we had many hours of travel ahead. See you next week!
A new ride in Perguia
Piazza Italia is one of those places I always end up at, whether I’m meeting friends or just enjoying the view. It’s right at the end of Corso Vannucci, so you can’t miss it.
Sometimes there are small markets or events happening there, which gives the square a really local feeling. It’s also surrounded by beautiful buildings and you really feel like you’re in the heart of the city.
It's a great way to explore the city and see how engineering and architecture from the Middle Ages are still part of modern life.
The Etruscan Well in Perugia is such a cool and surprising place. From the outside, you wouldn’t expect much, but once you go in, it’s like entering a different world. It’s quiet, kind of mysterious, and the light and reflections on the water give it a really special vibe.
Right next to the big fountain in Perugia — the Fontana Maggiore — there’s this impressive church called San Lorenzo. It’s not super flashy on the outside, but it has a kind of quiet beauty that fits really well with the whole square.
It’s the kind of place where you can just sit on the steps, chill with friends or eat a gelato, and watch people go by. Inside, it’s peaceful and has a calm atmosphere, like a little break from the busy city vibe. Even if you're not super into churches, it’s a nice spot to stop for a moment.
Here’s a picture with my roommate at work. Our boss took a photo of us while we were working, and we also took a selfie. You can also see some of the quirky things you can find around the office.
A bit of my daily life in the Parks of Perugia
One of the places I’ve come to enjoy the most in Perugia is the park next to the stadium. It’s not super famous, but it’s a really nice and open green space where you can escape the city noise for a bit.
I’ve actually made it part of my routine. I try to go running there a few times a week. It’s peaceful, there’s plenty of space, and you see a mix of people: families, other runners, students, even people walking their dogs. It’s a nice reminder that Perugia isn’t just old buildings and narrow streets. it also has this fresh and natural side.
One of the things I love about Perugia is how many little surprises you can find just by walking around. The other day, I was exploring some quiet streets and I ended up at Arco di Via delle Volte and wow, it felt like stepping into a secret passage from a movie.
It’s a small, covered alley with arches and stone walls, and there’s something magical about it. It’s quiet, a bit mysterious, and full of that medieval charm that Perugia has everywhere. I didn’t plan to find it, I just kind of stumbled upon it and that made it even better.
The other day I found a peaceful little park near Arena Santa Giuliana, and it ended up being the perfect spot to slow down for a bit. I went there with a book, just planning to read for a while, and it was exactly what I needed.
The place is calm, with trees, benches, and a relaxed atmosphere not many people around, just a few locals passing by. What makes it even more interesting is that you can also see the old stadium nearby, which gives the area a cool contrast between nature and sports history.
One of the best food moments I’ve had in Perugia was at Antica Salumeria Granieri Amato. It’s this small, traditional deli right in the center — super authentic, the kind of place where you just know the food is going to be amazing.
A litle visit to Isola Maggiore
I had heard it was really beautiful, and it definitely was. I went to one of the viewpoints in Passignano sul Trasimeno and from there I could see a small island in the middle of the lake.
It caught my attention, so I decided to get a bit closer and walked down to the port. The view was super peaceful, and the whole area had a relaxed, almost holiday vibe.
While exploring the lakeside in Passignano sul Trasimeno, I came across a striking monument that immediately caught my attention. Set on the water, it features six interwoven airplanes — three diving towards the lake and three soaring into the sky. This powerful sculpture commemorates the fallen pilots of the Italian Army's hydroplane training school, which operated here during the early 20th century
I arrived at the dock where there was a ticket office, so I decided to ask for some information. The idea of visiting one of the islands sounded interesting, so I chose to buy a ticket to Isola Maggiore. After that, I got my ticket and waited for the boat.
In the end, my boat arrived and I was the only passenger!
It was actually really cool to have the whole boat to myself. I could move around freely and sit wherever I wanted, which made the ride even more fun and relaxing.
Land ho! An island ahead!
The island is really beautiful. Even small enough to walk all around it, so I had no problem exploring.
The people who live there were also very kind and friendly.
At the end of the walk, as always, having an ice cream is a must. I have to say, it's a very relaxing and beautiful island. I honestly loved it
Here’s one of my favorite breakfasts I had in Perugia: Maritozzo with a latte. This is the last one… because next week a great journey awaits me and the final one.
A litle visit in Rome
This week before going back, I had to visit the capital of Italy, which is Rome. So, I had to go to the Vatican, my first destination. The square and St. Peter’s Basilica are just amazing. It’s incredible both outside and inside. Here are some pictures.
After that, I walked outside the Vatican until I got to Ponte Sant'Angelo, the bridge where I later learned Michelangelo, Raphael, and Alexander used to walk. I found it fascinating.
Now, finishing at the Castel Sant'Angelo, I learned a bit about how, over time, the Pope and the Vatican itself became very important in history until today. I was really learning all of this while I was inside the castle. Simply fascinating. Here are some photos.
Of course, it couldn’t be missed. After getting lost in the Rome metro even though the sun was super strong. I finally arrived at the Roman Colosseum, where I learned a lot about Roman culture and their ways of entertainment. Besides all the learning, the Colosseum is just amazing. I have no other words. Here are some photos.
Almost at sunset, I arrived at another masterpiece of art. Even though it was built later, inspired by earlier works, the Trevi Fountain is still just as amazing. I just stood there looking at it for a long time, because it really impressed me… until it got dark.
In the end, I finished my day with a carbonara pasta simply delicious!
In the morning, I had an early ticket for another incredible structure, so I had to be there at 9 a.m. The sun was really strong, but we can’t forget about the wonderful Pantheon. Simply amazing.
Finally, and it was one of the longest walks of my life, I had honestly prepared to walk through the Roman Forum, but with the strong sun, it was really hard. Even with that, I can still say it was incredible… and this was the last thing I did. After that, a train was waiting for me to go to the airport. So, this is where my trip ends. Ciao!
