After checking the correlation coefficient r in our study we can conclude:
1. We don't see any clear link between the student performance (number of subjects failed) and study time, r= -0,3 this can be for two reasons:
- There is no real connection between them and what matters is the quality of the study time not the time itself.
In fact official survey studies about this topic support this results: no link between study time and performance in primary and secondary school has been found, however there's a link in advanced levels of learning.
- The students didn't say the truth or they mixed study time with doing homework.
2. We don't see any link between student performance and score given to the school, r=-0,12, :
In this case it is a good result because we see that the students are happy at school even though their performance is not good ..... it is also possible that they are lying...
