The digital design platform OnShape has been used to design the parts that make up the Rover.
OnShape is a cloud-based computer-aided design (CAD) tool that allows 3D and 2D models to be created collaboratively in real time.
The 3D design platform Thinkercard has been used to embed the final design result of the Rover components.
The base of the Rover is designed to include the Arduino programming board, actuators and sensors. In addition, the base has been designed taking into account the spaces needed to fit the legs and for the output of the connection cables.
This is the largest bracket and is attached directly to the sides of the base. The design incorporates spaces to insert the assembly screws.
This part allows the Rover supports to be joined together to enable the Rover to articulate and move over uneven terrain.
