Visiting the Netherlands

GOING TO THE NETHERLANDS

On 8th May our students took a plane to go to the Netherlands. 

They were so excited to start their exchange experience!!!

ROTTERDAM 

Our students visited Rotterdam with Dutch students who showed them the close city to Vlaardingen.

All together did a boat trip and discovered one of the biggest ports of Europe.

WEEKEND WITH DUTCH FAMILIES 

A completely different weekend for our Catalan students.

Some of them went by boat, others played golf and bowling. of course they could spent some time out in the city of Rotterdam and they finally enjoyed the great weather on the beach!

A lovely weekend for everyone!

AMSTERDAM

Today it has been a very hard day.

We left school at 9 am and spent the whole day in Amsterdam.

We started with a boat trip through the Canals and we could see many interesting buildings and learnt about the history of this amazing city.

After that we all had free time to go shopping and discover the streets of Amsterdam.

Finally, we attened a class about Anna Frank and got in the museum. It was very challenging for our students but also interesting. They could see the real life back then and how Jewish like Anna Frank and her family suffered.

SCAVENGER HUNT IN VLAARDINGEN & WORK PROJECT AT SCHOOL

Students had the chance to know more about Vlaardingen by doing a Scavenger hunt.

Later on, all together started the project at school. We all learnt the differences between both countries, the Netherlands and Catalonia when recycling. 

DELFT

Delft is called "the little Amsterdam" and we could enjoy the great day in this "little" city.

We could travel by boat thorugh the Canals and learnt about it. We could also visit Vermeer Museum and relax in the city center.

Later in the afternoon, we enjoyed the farewell party at the High School.

LAST DAY IN THE NETHERLANDS

After working on the project with Dutch students we left to Gouda, a city known for its cheese.

We could learn a lot about Gouda cheese visiting the museum and, of course, the tasting at the end of the tour! It was delicious!!!
