We have removed all this garbage from this `beach. We do this on 02/01/22 I think that this is a very good thing to start the new year. Is very important that every people that see this try to do the same and take care of his planet because it is the only planet we have right? And the garbage on the beaches is very dangerous for all living things on this planet, including us.

Hemos sacado toda esta basura de esta playa. Hemos hecho esto el 02/01/22 . Creo que es algo muy bueno para comenzar el nuevo año. Es muy importante que, todas las personas que vean esto traten de hacer lo mismo y cuide de su planeta porque es el único planeta que tenemos ¿no? Y además, la basura de las playas es muy peligrosa para todos seres vivos del planeta incluidos nosotros.

These photographs have been taken in Somo Beach, Cantabria.↳

They represent the pollution that still exists in natural spaces, even if we try to fight and help the environment, caused by the horrible acts of people who harm different ecosystems and species.

On my visit to this place, I could find various residues produced by human beings, like plastic cups, lighters, ropes, plugs, toothpaste containers, among others.

When I detected this waste, it was found far from marine surface, but, if nobody was in charge of its removal, it would arrive to the sea sooner or later, originating stonge consequences. By containing chemical contaminants, they would damage this habitat, in addition to producing serious problems in marine fauna, species that could drown or get cut with the rubbish.

Sadly, Somo Beach isn’t considered a natural space excessively dirty or contaminated. On the contrary to others, its water is apparently clean, and I didn’t detect this garbage easily. Our concept of “too much pollution” should change, and for it, it is essential to care and protect our planet, with simple actions on how to recycle and reuse, to dispose of a habitable future for all of us.

He escogido esta imagen porque una de las maneras con las que podemos ayudar a conservar y utilizar de forma sostenible los océanos, mares y recursos marinos es reduciendo el consumo de productos de plástico y generando menos residuos que al final van a parar a los fondos marinos.

En nuestro día a día es mejor utilizar, como en la imagen de la izquierda platos, cubiertos, vasos y servilletas de tela que podemos reutilizar muchas veces en lugar de abusar del plástico que es muy dañino para el medioambiente.

I have chosen this image because one of the ways in which we can help to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources is by reducing the use of plastic products and generating less waste that ultimately ends up on the seas.

In our day to day it is better to use, as in the image on the left, plates, cutlery, glasses and napkins that we can reuse many times instead of abusing plastic that is very harmful to the environment.

En 2015 se unieron 193 países, entre ellos España, para acordar la Agenda 2030, agenda que pretende conseguir el cumplimiento de los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible.Uno de estos objetivos, el objetivo 14 está dedicado a la Vida Submarina. Lo que se intenta conseguir con este objetivo es conservar y utilizar sosteniblemente los océanos, los mares y los recursos submarinos. Para alcanzar todo esto hay que reducir la contaminación marina, adoptar medidas para mantener los ecosistemas y regular la pesca.En esta foto quiero representar el estado actual de los océanos y mares destacando la contaminación, principalmente por los plásticos. La foto muestra cómo el agua es tragada por el plástico y cómo los animales marinos quedan también atrapados.

Para nosotros puede ser un simple residuo que tiramos, pero el cúmulo de todos ellos ocasiona un cambio enorme en la naturaleza. Afecta a la estética del paisaje y contamina el suelo, el aire y el agua. Altera los ecosistemas y daña la diversidad de la vida en nuestro planeta.
