IES LITORAL is a public High School of reference in Malaga, with more than 30 years of experience, in dual Vocational Training and short cycle courses of Higher Education on Healthcare field, offering dual (alternance training through agreements with companies in the sector) education. We teach 3 VET Training courses (pupils range age 16-19 y.o.): Pharmacy and Parapharmacy (some groups taught in dual modality), Health Emergencies (dual) and Auxiliary Nursing Care (non-dual, adult modality).
There is a wide offer of Higher Education Vocational Training cycles (students 18-25 y.o.), all dual with important links with workplaces (Dietetics, Radiotherapy, Radiology and Pathological anatomy Technicians.
In addition, Compulsory Secondary Education (Spanish-English bilingual groups) and Baccalaureate are taught (Modalities of Sciences and Humanities).The school holds several Plans and projects, such as Digital Transformation, Environmental Education and Healthy Living Habits, among others. The Department of Educational Innovation promotes strategies such as Project-Based Learning, which we have implemented on VET.
WHAT IS ERASMUS PLUS?
Erasmus+ is the EU program to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
Currently, it integrates different types of programs and offers opportunities to a wide variety of people and organizations: students of different levels, educational community staff (teachers and non-teachers), young volunteers, youth animators, secondary schools, universities, centers education and training, think tanks, research centers and private companies.
Thus, in educational matters it covers all levels: school, professional training, higher education and training for adults, thereby seeking the internationalization of training and learning, both formal and non-formal, for students and teachers, thus giving the center the opportunity to open up to the rest of the member countries.
With all this, the contribution to improving the educational and training capacities of people for the employability of students, teachers and workers is established as a fundamental objective.

The High school LITORAL has set as a strategic objective the internationalization of its teachings, with the basic objectives of:
-Improve teaching quality, by updating didactic, technical-professional, digital and linguistic skills
-Expand the employability possibilities of students in professional training cycles
-Contribute to foreign language proficiency
-Offer a path for permanent teacher training
-Contribute to the training in "soft skills", transversal skills.
-All this under premises of: inclusion and diversity, environmental sustainability, European citizenship values
At Litoral, a benchmark for dual vocational training in a health professional family in the province of Malaga, we currently have the following approved projects:
-KA K122: INTERMEDIATE TRAINING CYCLES. Improvement of employment opportunities and personal skills of students, teachers and staff who teach these courses: Pharmacy and Parapharmacy assistants, Nurse assistants and Emergency Healthcare Technicians.
-KA 131: HIGHER EDUCATION. HIGHER DEGREE TRAINING CYCLES. Improvement of employment opportunities and personal skills of students, teachers and staff. Courses avialble: dietetics, Pathological anatomy Technician, Image for Diagnosis Technician, Radiotherapy and dosimetry Technician and Orthoprothesis Technician.
