Our school is located in Palma, on the island of Mallorca. Our island belongs to the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands, which also includes the islands of Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. We are a proud bilingual community with a unique cultural heritage and landscapes, so it is not a suprise that this sparks the interest of people from all around the world to visit us. As a result, our economy is based mainly on tourism.
The school is involved in the European Section Program promoting the English language by teaching regular subjects and other activities in English. Students can also choose German or French as optional subjects.
Key staff involved
All the Erasmus projects are considered a school project. We have an Erasmus team, so the projects are coordinated by two main teachers, with the support of teams of 4 additional teachers. Teachers in our team are very enthusiastic about their job and are always looking to add value to their students' education. The Erasmus team is always working hand in hand with other members of the school.
Activities and experience
EXPERIENCE:
We are predominantly active in the field of high school education as partners and applicants of different kinds of KA1 and KA2 projects. The key for us is to work on both local and international projects and we try to cover a broad range of themes and topics according to what our students could find interesting.
The activities of the organisation are based on the approaches of non-formal education, experiential and intercultural learning, social inclusion and active participation. Our background and knowledge of the implementation of various types of learning methodologies in different learning contexts give us the relevant experience for participating in European projects. Our organisation is experienced in implementing methodologies, incorporating new types of learning materials and combining new and traditional teaching styles.
