MOBILITY TO GREECE
MARCH 3RD - 9TH 2024
ENDANGERED SPECIES ERASMUS PROJECT
meeting in music school of tripolis
INTRODUCTION AND CONTEXT
In this Project, we want to approach our schools, and also our countries, by making our students work together in an investigation. Our students will have to devolop a scientific research about endangered species. To do that, they will need to
cooperate with their partnerts from the other country.
The participating students will be 8 students from Spain and 8 from Greece. They will have to work in English. In the beginning,
these pupils will be required to face several tasks:
Fill in a personal profile (we will give them an example)
Make a personal video about themselves. It must include information about themselves. It shoud be short, and it should follow this structure: Name, age, family, hobbies, reason for participating in the Project, possible previous visits to Greece or Spain and anything else they may want to share with their new friends.
Make a group presentation about their school, their city and their country. (This will be used in the first meeting, as a breaking ice activity and will be useful to introduce themselves as well. It won´t take more tan 7 minutes).
WORKING TOGETHER: COLLABORATIVE PRODUCT
After the first contact, our students will have to work altogether in the topic we have chosen: Endangered species. This is a continuation of the previous Project, “Take care of our planet”. They will need to create a google presentation about that topic.
How will the students be organised? They will be divided into 4 mixed groups. Each one composed of 2 people from each country. What information do they need to work with? Each team will have to search info about one of these endangered organisms:
- Plants
- “Water animals”
- “Air animals”
- “Earth animals”
Each team will select ONLY one of these four categories, and they will have to talk about 4 endangered species (two from each country).
How could they structure the information?. By completing these ítems:
Introduction (free, just to make a context)
Name of the endangered organism
Description of the specie (what is it like, how it behaves, where does it leaves…)
Cause of the problem (why are they dissappearing?)
Stadistic data (show figures and dates about how they are decreasing in population)
Actions/solutions (Official things the government are doing to prevent their
disappearance)
Collaborative thinking among students… What could they do, from their schools, to help?
