We are set in 1969, just after some important revolutions have happened in Europe and gave the world a feeling of hope and power. Something is happening right now, the space race between the U.S.A. and the URSS to prove which country is the first one to take a human passenger to the moon is as important as ever, and it may be coming to an end sooner than we think. The 20th July 1969 the Apollo 11 landed on the Moon’s Surface led by Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin Aldrin, claiming the U.S.A as the first and only country to ever get one passenger alive to the moon and back.
This event had great repercussions on mankind at the moment and still is a controversial topic nowadays, it inspired artists over the world to create amazing art pieces like the following: In the music environment "fly me to the moon" Frank Sinatra and in paintings "Moonlit seaspace" by Thomas Moran.
