NIGHTMARE

ON BLECUA STREET

Third edition of Nightmare on Blecua Street. The aim of this project is to analyze, learn the secrets and compose scary music that accompanies tales, poems and scary movies.

FASCINATED BY FEAR

Creative artists have a fascination with the macabre. In the art world we have artists like Hieronymus Bosch and Edward Gorey, while in literature there are the disturbing short stories of Edgar Allan Poe, novels by Mary Shelley (Frankenstein), Bram Stoker (Dracula). Composers also look to dark themes as the inspiration for their music.
