1ºESO-BRIT

WHAT DO WE DO TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE SUSTANAIBLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS?

The students of 1ºA and 1ºC are doing different challenges related to several of the sustanaible development goals. Radio programs, inventing objects with recycled materials, awareness-raising campaigns...

Do you want to check them out?

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Design and creation of sea animals made of recycled material. Every student will choose a sea animal and they will create their design. In English class we are reading a book about the topic: The Lighthouse Ghost. We will be doing activities on the Great Pacific Garbage Patch to create awareness and to think on the problem. In Art class they will be designing the models and creating their animal out of recycled material.

Finally, we’ll be exposing the animals in the school hall.

The Daily Mile

This year we have started a thrilling project regarding the promotion of a healthy lifestyle; the Daily Mile - Fit for Life Project, which is an initiative of the UK Government to promote physical activity among adolescents. Because Physical Activity classes are not enough to reach the minimum recommended levels, we are looking for strategies such as making up our own MOTTOS (slogans) and media pictures to encourage ourselves to be more active during leisure time. #BeActive
