Belgium's MEGA Club Introduction

Hello everyone! Allow us to introduce our MEGA and Model of United Nations (MUN) club in Belgium! We are a little group of 10 people, and we are like a big family. We are between 15 to 18 years old, and we have a headteacher to guide us and contact with the headmaster of our school.

First of all, our school is implicated in environmental actions. Our headmaster installed solar panels to consume less energy and put isolation on the roof and the walls. At the end of September, our Eco Team organised a MobiGame. This game was made to increase motivation for the students to come to school with low emission vehicles. Students had to come on foot, ride a bicycle, take the bus and with other solutions to earn points and to win prizes.

Above all of that, we had planned a big waste collection, but it was postponed. We took it with philosophy, and we set up a new meeting on June 21st! We hope that we will harvest the maximum of waste thanks to a big number of motivated students.

Another good action for climate change is setting up a system to order the sandwiches in the canteen, which allows minimising the amount of waste in the trash while delighting young and old! ;). This action took place thanks to the sanitary rules with Corona, so that's another good point of the pandemic.
