In order to free up space inside your email, you can remove all emails before a certain date.
Use the 'before' search keyword to find emails older than 1 year (i.e. before:2021/3/31)
Click the 'Select All' checkbox
Click the 'Select all messages that match this search'
Click 'Delete' or the Trash icon

In order to free up space inside your email you can remove all emails that are larger than a specified size.
Use the 'larger' search keyword to find emails older than 1 year (i.e. larger:10M)
Select individual emails to delete from the results, or use the Select-All method above to bulk-delete
Emails will be moved to Trash. They will be deleted automatically after 30 days. To delete immediately,
open the Trash folder
click Empty Trash now.
Space will not be freed until messages are removed from Trash

The files are already sorted from largest to smallest, so you will see the largest files shown at the top.
If you need to keep the file, right-click and choose Download to save it locally to your machine. You can then proceed to Step 2.
Right-click on unwanted files, and Remove from Drive
The space will not be freed until the files are removed from Trash.
In order to reduce space with Google Photos, you can change the way Google stores the photos. Please visit the following URL: https://photos.google.com/settings
If needed, change the setting from Original Quality to Storage Saver. Then choose Recover Storage to automatically convert existing Photos.
Photos are converted down to 16MP, which is sufficient to make a high-qulity 11”x16” print.
While viewing your photos, you can highlight a photo by hovering over it, and enable the checkbox. You can then click the Delete (or Trash) icon that appears in the upper right section of your browser. You can delete multiple photos this way by enabling the checkbox for each photo you need to delete.
