Google Takeout allows you to export data from Gmail, Drive, and Photos in a portable format to store locally, or upload to another service. Google Takeout lets you export data from many Google services, but the ones to be concerned with which are related to storage quotas are Gmail, Drive, and Photos.
To access Google Takeout, please visit the following URL: https://takeout.google.com
Click “Deselect all”, and then select Gmail, Drive, and Photos as desired. It is recommended to select only one product to export at a time. Otherwise, Google will mix multiple service documents (such as Gmail and Photos) together into the same zip file.
Choose the File Type (zip or tgz) for export, and the desired size. Content will be broken up into multiple zip files for download. Exporting 30GB of content would result in fifteen 2GB zip files to download.
The export will be scheduled to run, and you will be provided with the date. You will be notified via Email when your export is completed.
