Workshop Theme

A workshop to disuss Humanitarian Activity from a broad perspective, including global warming, renewable energy, and the SDGs, with participants. The workshop is divided into two sessions. In the first half, each participant will give a presentation on an issue broadly related to Humanitarian Activity, using his or her own technology to find a solution. In the second half, participants will be divided into small groups for discussion, which may include in-depth discussions of the presentations by the presenters in the first half, or discussions of solutions to the other Humanitarian Activity issues using the participants' own technologies. This workshop is intended for those who are interested in Humanitarian Activity but have not yet started full-scale research, and for those who are motivated by the opinions of others and wish to apply them to their future research. Therefore, student presentations are also welcome. We also welcome those who are already conducting full-scale research on Humanitarian Activity. As for technology, the workshop is open to all those who are broadly involved in computing technology, such as neural networks, fuzzy and Evolutional computing, etc. This workshop is organized by the IEEE Tokyo Section SIGHT (Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology).

Paper

Submitted papers will not be published in the WCCI proceedings, but will be produced as a HAW proceeding specifically for the Humanitarian Activities Workshop (HAW). You are also welcome to make a presentation without submitting a paper.

Page limitation is MAXIMUM 10 pages (No additional charge for this workshop).

The abstract (approximately 200 words) is required for all presenters. Please enter your abstract in the registration form for presenter.

Audiences

Those who wish to attend and participate in the discussion without presenting are also welcome.

• Notification: 1st/May/2024 (Submissions after May 1 will be reviewed and notifications will be sent out as they become available.)

• Deadline of Paper Submission: 24th/May/2024 (A presentation without the paper is also welcome)

• Maximum Attendee: 40 people (Including audiences)
