To develop general and interdisciplinary knowledge on aspects related to climate change and its implications for past, present and future climate;
To promote the internationalization of the university by offering the course in English if there are foreign students enrolled.
The proposed course fits on the Institute of Energy and Environment (IEE) of University of São Paulo (USP) since its main theme addresses Climate Change issues. The course will involve USP professors connected to the Climate Crisis and Disasters Resilience Research Center (CLIMARES). The main objective of CLIMARES is to promote the interdisciplinary of the various areas of scientific research related to climate change. The discipline will be in the online format, including the exam on the final day. Zoom will be used for the online classes and all material will be made available in a course folder on Google Drive. Doubts can be asked in class, using microphone and chat, as well as through the professor`s e-mail. The frequency will be controlled by the Zoom platform report. It is not mandatory that students leave the camera turned on during the classes. The exam will be done through a Google Drive document, and each student will be able to view and edit only their own designated document.
