My name is Lori Skarupa and this is my third year at Twin Cities International Schools. Before this year, I was the 5-8 counselor, but I am excited to announce that this year I will be working with the elementary and middle school! As a School Counselor, my primary goal is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. I'm excited to work with students, parents/guardians, teachers, administration, and staff to ensure your student is receiving all the support they need to guide them through their K-8 journey at TCIS.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato and my Master's Degree in School Counseling and Auburn University. Previously, I worked as a school counselor, residence life coordinator, and an after school coordinator for extracurricular activities. Outside of school, I enjoy playing sports, traveling, hanging out with my friends, and being outside. Although there are still a lot of unknowns about what this school year will look like, I am so excited to see all our returning students and get the opportunity to meet all new students while in in-person learning! Let's get ready for a wonderful year and please don't be afraid to introduce yourself if we haven't met yet.

-Ms. Lori
