We offer two types of financial support to attend the Summer Institutes on Descriptive Inquiry: tuition support and grants. BIPOC applicants and applicants running single parent households or who have caregiving responsibilities for other family members are prioritized by the review committee. The Finance Committee will also consider applications from people who have experienced recent financial hardship.
We have established these funding priorities as one aspect of the multi-layered work we have to do in our commitment to building an anti-racist and inclusive organization. We know the ability to attend the Summer Institutes is an opportunity for growth in our practice that should be accessible to all educators. We hope that these grants will play a role in supporting the accessibility of our programming.
