COAD and LTRG
COAD and LTRG
What is a COAD? Community Organizations Active in Disaster - A collaborative working group that convenes organizations and agencies for the purpose of planning, preparation, and relationship building in advance of future disasters. COADs do not provide direct services. Membership into a COAD is open to voluntary/non-profit organizations, for-profit businesses and governmental agencies. COADs work in collaboration with their State/Territory VOADs to coordinate services to best meet the needs of their community.
LTRG - A Long-Term Recovery Group is a cooperative body made up of representatives from faith-based, non-profit, government, business and other organizations working within a community to assist individuals and families as they recover from disaster.
