Classroom Rules

Here is my classroom amazon wishlist. Thank you for your support.

Hello,

I am excited to be your child's teacher this year! This is my third year at Idaho Arts Charter School. I am a first generation college attendee and graduate. I graduated from Boise State University with a B.A. in Social Science. I worked in the corporate offices at Albertson's before becoming a stay at home mom. I spent a lot of time in the classroom as a parent volunteer and felt the call to be a teacher. I attended Northwest Nazarene University where I earned my M.Ed in Curriculum, Instruction, Innovation. I love learning alongside my students. Together we will have a great year!

I have two lovely children. Eduardo is 15 and in 10th grade. Elisa is 11 and in 6th grade. We love to play board games and watch cartoons together. I have been married for 20 years to my best friend, Eduardo. My hobbies are reading and writing.

I know that communication is the cornerstone of life. I look forward to developing a rapport of trust, dialogue, and collaboration with my students and their caretakers.

  • As a 2nd grade team, we will be talking to your child about healthy snack items that can be brought to school to eat during afternoon recess. I encourage fruit, vegetable, protein, whole wheat or dairy snack with your child for afternoon recess. NO chips and candy!

  • Students may bring a water bottle to leave in the classroom. The water bottle must be labeled with the students' name and should only have water in it.

My Classroom Wish List:

  • Empty shoes boxes

  • Spools of ribbon or string

  • Acrylic paints (all colors)

My beliefs are that students learn best when they are engaged in the learning process, when students feel safe to take educational risks, and when the whole child is taken into consideration.

My goal everyday is to help children love to learn.

I know that as individuals, humans are unique and therefore teachers must consider the uniqueness of each student.
