Mrs. DeNinno

Middle SchoolPrincipal

It is such a pleasure to introduce myself to you!  This year will be my second year in the role of Middle School Principal at the Secondary Campus and I LOVE working with teachers and students. The arts are very special to me because I spent a decade working as a professional ballet dancer prior to joining the noble profession that is education.  My travels as a ballet dancer started in Washington DC with the Washington Ballet, moved to Providence, RI in 2005 to dance with Festival Ballet Providence, and eventually here to Idaho to dance with Ballet Idaho, where I had the privilege of dancing roles such as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker, and the black swan in Swan Lake.   I recently received a second Masters Degree from BSU in Educational Leadership, and also have degrees from both Rhode Island College and Indiana University.   Originally from New York, I  call Boise my home with my husband Alex and our two children, Luca and Gemma.

After retiring from the dancing profession in 2013, I accepted a teaching job with the Nampa School District teaching 3rd grade at Sherman Elementary while continuing to teach dance at several studios.  One of my dance students told me about Idaho Arts Charter School and I immediately knew it was a place that I needed to be at.  Since arriving in 2014 I have taught 3rd/4th grade, 6th grade and dance here at IACs.  In 2019 I moved into the role of Instructional Coach where I had the privilege of working with the talented teaching staff here, in 2021 I moved into the role of Assistant Principal and then Middle School Principal in 2023.   Moving into this role has allowed me to make deeper relationships with more students and staff.  I look forward to serving our community again this year.  My favorite part about working at Idaho Arts Charter School is watching our students perform and share their love for the arts with others.  My door is always open and I look forward to meeting you soon!
