Come attività di inizio anno nella classe 2^ di Sampeyre è stato proposto un primo progetto eTwinning all'interno del gruppo Inclusive Education Group.

My students and I are so happy to have joined in the the activity Haiku Earth Poems for the European Day of Languages. Congratulations to Marjiana Smolcec, the moderator of the Inclusive Education Group we are in. We had a great chance to start our school year in the best way! All of my students tried hard and were eager to learn and to share their work.

Thanks to the Spanish teacher Miriam Salinas who organised a very inspiring event called "Save the seas" on eTwinning on November 27th 2020! My students and I got motivated and joined in the activity. It was a great experience!

ABOUT THE PROJECTAfter the impact of Corona Virus on education, the system underwent an inevitable radical change that switched to Remote Learning. At this point, our project focuses on the current method of Blended Learning. We will integrate this strategic approach into English lesson.Our students needed to adapt themselves to technology rapidly. They took online lessons and teachers used several digital tools. We took crucial steps towards 21st century skills.Our eTwinning Project will play an important role in teaching English under these circumstances.We will adopt a multidisciplinary approach. Partner teachers will come together at the beginning to decide on joint learning objectives and outcomes. We will also determine the innovative pedagogical approaches to be used during the work process in order to reinforce learning.While working on our Project activities, we will not only exchange our experiences but also come up with new strategies.

The project was founded by Bahar Celik and Emel Kurtman. I'm grateful to have taken part to it!!

JANUARY

FLIPPED LEARNING

STEP 1 – Before activity: play the games to practice vocabulary for our topic Endangered Animals.

STEP 2 – During activity: We completed the second step of Flipped Learning approach 'During the Class' remotely with a huge participation on 25th January, 2021. It started with our online bellringer quiz game as an assessment of the students' level of understanding of the topic in the previous part of FL. After that, a student of each group presented their groups' endangered animals they had done a research on in part 1 of FL. Then, students were sent to breakoutrooms on zoom to do their group activity. Here’s link to the International groups’ presentation

STEP 3 – After activity: Merve prepared an e-book with impressive artworks of our students for Post Activity of Flipped Learning Section. Below are the creative "Dream Creatures"

FEBRUARY

We met on 8th February, watched a video, discuss and played in a Kahoot contest.

Task for the Safety Internet Day: create posters to learn about it and disseminate what we've learnt! This is the students' presentation on our website

MARCH

We held our online lesson on 26th February, 2021 to launch our PBL. We discussed environmental problems, causes and solutions. We watched three awarded short films about the topic and anwered questions. We shared our project ideas. You can reach the presentation from the emaze tool:)

Media Literacy & Disinformation

* What is Media Literacy?

* How do you decide whether the information on the internet is true or not?

* What is digital footprint?

* Misinformation? or Disinformation?

* Can you identify fake news?

IMPORTANT

We must keep in mind that "WHAT WE SHARE ON THE INTERNET, REMAINS FOREVER" even if we delete it. Being digitally literate is crucial especially nowadays.

We spend most of our time on the internet but

-"Is everything we see or read on the internet reliable?"

- Definitely NOT.

We must be aware of the threats and misleading information. We must search for information through reliable sources. Let's discover about these together!

Our students expressed their opinions about eTwinning by throwing the ball to each other in a joint video. Our ball's journey started

from Turkey travelled around Italy, Portugal and ended in Germany.

We are a big family thanks to eTwinning.

JUNE

Students, parents and teachers were submitted post projects surveys with success and enthusiasm.

Students edited a final message video and wrote keen and positive post projects thoughts.

A joint newspaper summarizing all our steps and tasks was the last product of the project.

Such a wonderful experience both for students and teachers! Thank you to all!

Il progetto "Blended English" coinvolge diverse scuole secondarie europee per facilitare i ragazzi nell'apprendimento della lingua inglese attraverso le nuove metodologie a supporto del blended learning emerso in modo preponderante in seguito alla pandemia. Riesce dunque a trasformare il problema dell’insegnamento a distanza in un'opportunità di apprendimento per gli studenti e docenti. Il progetto è strutturato in modo chiaro ed efficace e aiuta sia i docenti sia gli alunni ad affacciarsi all'insegnamento/apprendimento di una lingua in modo alternativo e stimolante. Nonostante l'alto numero di partner, la collaborazione tra docenti e tra alunni è stata ben organizzata e ha consentito di creare prodotti complementari e collaborativi. Gli alunni della docente proponente hanno lavorato con assiduità a tutte le attività proposte. Gli incontri online e i thread di discussione nel Forum hanno facilitato la comunicazione autentica in lingua irrobustendo ulteriormente l'apprendimento. Valutazione e disseminazione sono state implementate in modo serio ed esaustivo. Il gruppo di lavoro ha saputo disseminare in modo evidente anche all'esterno grazie all'uso di diversi canali social, osservando sempre attentamente le regole di eSafety. Davvero un bellissimo progetto! Complimenti al gruppo di lavoro per tutto il lavoro svolto che merita senza dubbio il Quality Label.
