We joined in an event on eTwinning for the EDL! What a good way to start school!
How multicultural are you? Show us here. In the world where differences divide, let's show how they unite. We'll put a padlet board where you can share your ideas and how you celebrate this day - the 26th of September. It can be a poster, a video, a song, or anything that you find appropriate.
In the autumn 2021, two eTwinning projects took place in our institute. A first one about climate emergency called Green Challenge addressed to our 1^ and 2^ "pluriclasse" in Sampeyre, a second one about the learning of vocabulary in English called WOW - A World of Words - addressed to class 2^ in Venasca.
An outstanding project about climate emergency.
Our knowledge and understanding of climate change and its causes and effects on the natural world is still evolving, but there is now clear consensus within the scientific community that climate change is real.
Change is occurring at rates that exceed those of history and human-caused carbon emissions into the atmosphere are contributing to this accelerated rate of global climate change.
It is the biggest environmental crisis of our time. It threatens the future of the planet that we depend on for our survival and we are the last generation that can do something about it.
Our unsustainable lifestyles as well as economic and production models are so deeply rooted in our lives that it seems almost impossible to change them. However, this transformation is the only chance we have if we want to save our planet.
As teachers, we strongly believe that our students need to be connected with a global movement of people who are determined to change the world.

An innovative project to support and scaffold students in learning vocabulary in English.
Teaching new words in English can be a challenging task especially when students have little opportunity to practise them. In this project, we aim to encourage students to use new vocabulary in real life situations and in any type of communication. Students will make use of Web-2 tools and improve their ICT skills throughout the project. Flashcards, real objects, online presentations, videos, songs etc. are going to be used. This is a whole-year project from October to May.

For SID 2022, classes had different experiences according to the projects.
Both Green Challenge and WOW teams followed the projects inspiring collaborative activities: we started from the netiquette developed at the beginning of school year and then we discussed about it in class. Then classes watched a specific video and joined in a Kahoot quiz. At last students made posters about the topic using Canva.
Classes 3^ in Venasca & Sampeyre joined in the Safer Internet Stories 2022 choosing the AUDIO LAB “Storie da ASCOLTARE per un internet migliore” (Stories to LISTEN for a better internet) on the topic of kindness, respect and the netiquette online e offline.
These classes also participated to InnovaMenti Piemonte - Storytelling :
