Award Timeline

• Year Round

Participating librarians nominate titles to be considered for the categories: 

• Braunvieh - Younger Readers (approx. 4-6 years)

• Evolène - Middle Readers (approx. 7-10 years) 

• Herens - Older Readers (approx. 11-14 years)

• Simmental - Advanced Readers (approx. 15-18 years)

• May 

Librarians discuss and select the shortlist. 

• June 

The short lists are open to discussion and finalised. 

• During the school year 

Librarians organise reading promotion activities appropriate for their students. 

• April - May

Final votes are submitted via a Google Form by the last week in May.

• June 

Winners of the Golden Cowbell Award are announced.
