DeWitt Middle School TECHNOLOGY & ENGINEERING

This is the official website for the Technology and Engineering Department at DeWitt Middle School in Ithaca, NY, part of the Ithaca City School District.

Our mission is to develop technologically literate citizens by teaching students about the human-made world and providing authentic learning experiences that are relevant and interesting. We aim to help all students learn and grow so that they are prepared to succeed as they continue their education and enter various fields of work. Additionally, we look to instill a sense of inquiry and a lifelong passion for learning.

We use a student-driven and project-based approach to teach students technology concepts, hands on technical skills, as well as problem solving and engineering thinking methods . We provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment that focuses on the process of learning about technology.
