The purpose of the ICS high school learning journey is for every student to grow their Approaches to Learning (AtL) skills in order to achieve personal success that is unique to them and to achieve their hopes and dreams upon graduation. To this end, the ICS high school learning program is diverse in its pathways to graduation, course offerings and personalized approach to student learning and growth.
The high school learning program, no matter the pathway chosen, engages students to think critically, to apply their knowledge across academic subjects and to take agency over their own learning. The curricular program is infused with a robust co-curricular program of activities that includes service learning, sporting, and non-sporting choices to suit all interests.
During a student's learning journey, our educators, administrators and counselors support all students every step of the way with personal, academic and college counseling advice through the advisory program. Advisory classes are scheduled daily and focus on the social-emotional learning (SEL) needs of students in each cohort. The SEL program aim is to foster sound and healthy decision making in our developing young adults that will affect them and others.
ICS high school students are supported as they grow the skills and mindset needed to become impactful and contributing members of the communities they frequent and responsible global citizens .
