I am a grade 9 scholarship student at the International Community School of Addis Ababa. This is my first year at ICS Addis and I am having a great time here. I have used scratch for some time and I am one of the translators in this project.
I like working with computers and I am also learning computer programming with Python. This project is very interesting as well as useful that I am able to learn new things as we go through and I have tried to contribute all I got.

Hello,
My name is Kaleb Areda and I am a 9th grade student at the International Community School of Addis Ababa. I have beein in ICS since 6th grade and I am probably graduating here in 2020. I really like working with technology previously done Lego Robotics for 2 years. I really love Math and also have a dream of going to MIT to graduate as a software programmer.I am an Amharic speaker and writer who is helping translate Scratch.
I've used scratch before to make some basic block programming games and have learned a lot from it. I am translating it because i would love the people of my country to have the same opportunities as I had..
My name is Kidus Amare (Kidus Mulu officially). I am a 10th grade student in International Community School of Addis Ababa. I was first introduced to scratch when I was in an 8th grade computer science class. It was my first ever exposure to programming and my kick off to explore many other programming languages.
As much as I loved scratch in the few weeks that I learned to use it, I didn't get much time to nurture my curiosity since I was 'upgraded' to another programming language. This left within me a deep desire to go back to scratch one day. So when I was offered the opportunity to translate scratch into Amharic and, by extension, create the opportunity to use scratch for many kids in Ethiopia who don't know English, I was delighted. I have enjoyed each and every moment of my time in this project and hope to continue until the whole interface is translated.
I am the Technology and Innovation Coach in the Middle School and High School here at ICS Addis Ababa.
I have been teaching students with Scratch for many years and am excited to be working with this outstanding team of teachers and students to create and share an Amharic translation of Scratch.
Although I can provide only basic translation assistance I am happily providing structure and support for our translation work and to function as the point of contact with MIT for our translation work.
