Posoh everyone!

Posoh,

The Menominee Language teachers wanted to make sure that in this uncertain time you still have the resources necessary to continue your language learning! On this site you will find the PowerPoints, word lists, and recordings from all the lessons we have been working on through out the year! Students keep practicing the Maple Syrup lesson!

Keep watch, as more information will be added soon!

I was born and raised on the Menominee Indian Reservation. My family comes from a small village on the reservation called, Crow Settlement. The Menominee language and culture are an important part of my everyday life. My passion in life is to pass those traditions down to my students and to the future tribal leaders of our people. I'm entering my 8th year as a Menominee Language and Culture teacher and proud to say that this is my 3rd year at the Indian Community School.

I am the new Menominee Language and Culture Apprentice here at ICS. I was raised on the Menominee Indian Reservation and have always placed great value in the Menominee language and culture. I previously worked at the Woodland Boys and Girls Club as a program assistant from 2018-2020. It was there that my interest in working with the youth was sparked. Being able to serve as the Menominee Language and Culture Apprentice allows me to bring both my love for the Menominee Language and my passion for working with the youth into one place. I am excited to see where the future goes and look forward to serving the youth here at ICS!
