Technology lessons are accessed through Clever by clicking this icon. (Learning.com) Seeing a pattern, here? :)

Learning.com (Technology lessons) totally revamped their website over the summer and it all looks different, but it works differently as well. Please watch the video which explains a bit better how it works as of now.

Make sure to scroll down for complete answers!

The Clever login page looks like this. You can choose Log In with Google on this page. Parents, choose this even if your child has used a Clever QR badge to log in to their account.

You can always get to the ICS Clever portal by clicking it's icon in the top right corner of your screen. It's the blue square with a white letter "C" in it.

Your Clever portal page will look similar to this one. Icons can be favorites and therefore moved to the top of the page for quicker access. Just click the heart that appears when you hover over the icon. The heart turns red and the icon moves to the top of the page. You can do this with all the icons you use most to put them in a row at the top of the page.

If you are doing a Technology lesson and the page keeps loading "forever," try reloading (refreshing) the page. If it loads again, be sure to choose "Continue" to start where you left off. All work is automatically saved if you can't finish a lesson, so if you choose "Restart" you will begin the lesson all over again from the beginning.

Most students do not need a Prodigy password. You can click the Prodigy Icon on Clever portal and it takes you right to Prodigy. Once there, choose Log In with Google. If you are an older student who created your account before everything was linked to Clever, email Mrs. Gibson for your login information at jgibson@ics-charter.org

Your Code.org homepage may not look exactly like this, but you will be looking for the same orangy-yellow button that says "Continue Lesson" If that isn't right at the top of your page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for your teacher's name. It will look similar to my own which shows a workshop I attended.

Need it Fixed?

If you are needing a device fixed, as in a cracked screen, microphone or camera not working, etc., please contact your classroom teacher first! This lets your teacher know if you have a valid reason for uncompleted work or missing meetings. He or she will then put in a helpdesk ticket and we will get you taken care of as quickly as possible.

See This, Much?

Please, when you see this in the top left of your screen, when visiting a website, CHOOSE BLOCK! Otherwise, you could wind up with some very offensive and/or annoying messages or pictures popping up on your screen at random times.

  • One thing we have noticed is that students may not be consistently attending their Google Meets sessions with teachers, or may not be behaving/presenting themselves appropriately in these sessions. It’s important that we can see your student in their Google Meets sessions so that we can keep them engaged in the discussion. Please make sure your student is dressed properly, sitting in a chair (not laying in bed), and has their camera turned on during sessions.

  • While it may be exciting to see everyone at home, we don’t need a mobile tour of your child’s bedroom or a show and tell of your pets during our learning sessions. Please remind your student of proper video-conferencing etiquette.

  • In addition, we’re noticing a lot of background noise during sessions. A pair of earbuds or headphones will help your child stay focused during sessions, but we also encourage everyone to mute their microphone when it isn’t their turn to talk.
