About Me

Ms. Schnoebelen:

This is my first year teaching! I am so excited to get to work with the students and their families this year. I recently graduated from The University of Iowa with my B.A. in Elementary Education. I also graduated with my Reading Endorsement, a Music Minor (Clarinet) and graduated from the Honors Program with Highest Distinction. I am from Iowa City and love the Hawkeyes! I am the oldest of five children and enjoy spending time with my family, friends and my dog (a Black Labrador) named Daisy. In my free time, I enjoy drinking coffee, exercising, reading and painting.

My teaching philosophy:

I believe all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks.

Library Goals:

-Foster a love of reading in students

-Teach students about the library and how to use it

-Introduce students to different genres of books
