Rudinei Goularte received his B.Sc. degree (1995) in Computer Science from the Federal University of South Mato Grosso (UFMS). He obtained his M.Sc. (1998) and D.Sc. (2003) degrees in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (USP), where he also received his Habilitation (2011). Currently, he is an Associate Professor of the Computer Science Department (USP at São Carlos), where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and does research in the fields of Multimedia and Multimodal Analysis. His current research interests involve Multimedia Content Understanding, Multimodal Fusion, Video Summarization, and Stereo Video Processing. Dr. Goularte was Program Committee Chair of the WebMedia (2009 and 2013) and ACM SAC - Multimedia and Visualization Track (2013, 2015, and 2015); General Chair of the WebMedia (2023). Currently, he serves as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for several conferences, like WebMedia, SIGMAP, and ACM Multimedia. He also serves as a reviewer for several journals, like the Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society (JBCS), MTAP, Expert Systems With Applications, Applied Sciences, and Sensors.
