Rabin Youth Hostel in Jerusalem

• Deposit required (e.g., ID)

• Please return immediately after use (only one available for all guests)

• Keep your key card, valuables, and passport safe. Do not leave money, tickets, or other valuables in your room, as ICEJ is not responsible for any loss.

• Passports and valuables can be stored in the Reception safe during office hours, but passports may still be needed for ID checks. Be sure to collect your items before departure, as the night staff does not have access to the safe. 

• Room changes are not allowed.

• Do not move beds yourself; ask reception for any bed rearrangement.

• Be considerate of roommates: keep noise and space in mind. Use the lobby or balcony for conversations if someone is resting.

• The hostel is secular but kosher, often hosting observant guests.

• Please respect Shabbat and High Holy Days (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur).

• You may buy food/snacks for your own room (e.g., from the nearby “Yellow” mini market).

• Do not anoint doors or furniture with oil – stains may result in charges.

• No outside food or drinks in the kosher dining room. Meat and dairy are never served together; coffee machines may be off at certain times.

• Do not take dishes, cutlery, or food out of the dining room.

• Do not place towels on the floor outside your room.

• On room cleaning days, place belongings on the bed or in the cupboard for floor cleaning.

• Bed linens are changed once a week, and towels twice a week. Notify the reception or ICEJ Housing Manager if this routine is not followed.

• If you wish to stay at Rabin Youth Hostel after the Feast, please request it directly at Reception by 10:00 am the day before.
