The Italian Investor Night "Spritz&Pitch" took place in the Italian Pavilion at CES 2024, in the presence of the press, investors, start-ups, and Italian companies.

The European Innovation Council, together with representatives of Belgium, Estonia, The Netherlands, Poland and Italy hosted European Night at CES 2024, an exclusive event and an opportunity to showcase European excellence in Tech, including innovators from 18 different countries.

"Italy on the Move 2024" held during the J.P. Morgan Healthcare conference, attracted over 150 attendees among US and Italian biotech and pharma investors, founders, researchers, and media, all eager to learn about the impact of the Italian life sciences industry on the US and the future scenario for 2024. 

The Consul General of Italy, Sergio Strozzi, presented the video message of the Ambassador of Italy to the US, Mariangela Zappia, who enhanced the joint efforts of Italy and the United States in promoting research and innovation, and announced the formation of the Working Group on the Internationalization of the Biotechnology Sector in Italy, which aims to facilitate dialogue and collaboration between Italian and US life sciences stakeholders.

The 4th edition of the 'Global Startup Program', was reserved for 80 innovative Italian startups across multiple sectors: ICT, Robotics & Industry 4.0, Space, Automotive & Smart Mobility, Life Sciences, Agri & Foodtech, Greentech & Circular Economy, Smart Cities & Home Automation, AI & Data, Fintech, Cyber ​​Security, Ecommerce, VR & Videogames and Energy, and strengthened technical, market, and organizational capabilities in new competitive markets for startups with growth potential.

During the 8-week period abroad, the startups were involved in a intense and immersive in-depth process divided into training sessions, mentoring activities, pitching sessions, meetings with potential investors and corporates, networking events and company visits to the main companies of the local innovative ecosystem.

The welcome event ''Spritz & Games'' took place at the 54 Mint restaurant, where the Italian delegation networked with 120 guests, investors, publishers, developers, startups and other operator specialists in the world of video games.

The topics discussed at the event revolved around the Made in Italy video game sector with 200 companies and around 2400 employees, its growth and public support regarding international promotion and tax credits, as well as international collaboration with big players such as Microsoft and Sony, despite Italy being in 14th place and only holding a market share of 1% in the sector.
