Hari Srinivasan is a neuroscience PhD candidate at Vanderbilt University and a summa cum laude graduate of UC Berkeley. His graduate research examines sensorimotor systems in autism and develops innovative, accessible ways to study sensory and motor processes across the spectrum. His work sits at the intersection of research, advocacy, meta-science, and AI ethics, advancing scientific knowledge while challenging the assumptions baked into research, technology design, and healthcare systems. His research has been recognized through the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship, and other national honors. At Berkeley, he conducted research on awe and empathy in autism and created a nationally recognized course on autism. Beyond the lab, Srinivasan serves on NIH’s Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee, the editorial board of Autism in Adulthood, and multiple nonprofit and scientific advisory boards, and contributes widely to public scholarship, including writing for outlets such as TIME and Newsweek. His lived experience with Autism+ADHD and spoken communication differences grounds his dual commitment to amplifying strengths while developing solutions that address challenges.

We at ICDL want you to have a safe and comfortable trip to New Jersey. We highly recommend that you choose one of our recommended hotels or another well-known hotel. Kean University and the surrounding community is generally considered to be safe and pleasant. However, there are areas near the campus that do have crime rates above the US national average, so please do your research if you are searching for other alternatives for accomodations.
