Process

This page includes our reflections on the process of making this exhibition - from exhibitions and articles to sketches and notes.

[Discussion Activity]

Discussion Activity: Write in the chat a word or phrase about the current role of photography:

Emeline:

express yourself, beauty, love, moments(sad, bad memorable), happiness

baby pictures

Jon:

represent - what your photo is trying to say or claim

symbolize - what your photo portrays about something or someone else

realize - what your photo is supposed to say to the viewer

Esther:

Reference, curiosity, joy

Reference - taking pictures as a piece to look back on in regards to anything and visualize an event you might want to tell someone about.

Curiosity - I could see a place with both my eyes but how would it be when i could just focus on one particular spot of that entire place? i take photos to see how they would be static instead of rolling my eyes in order to grab the entire area.

Joy - I take happy photos that i can look back on and be happy. like how I live far away from my mum now but when she visited, i took a photo of her and now i look back at it and i'm always happy

Anas:

I take pictures to show evidence I witnessed a rare occurrence.

Monty:

1. Documenting growth (people learning, having fun, connecting with one another).

2. Immortalizing my cat through pictures.

3. Memorieeeeeees

"If not you who makes it work for you, then who?"

"There is nothing that you can't do. It's just that you don't want to do it." - Jon

Jon

If you think you can't make a cake, then you're just not proving that you can't make a cake. You don't have to do it, but if you want to do it but you don't want to put effort on it then you aren't proving yourself. Also anyone can do anything. There is basically nothing impossible in this earth, we're just waiting for more advanced technology
