Emily was an Illinois State Academy of Science winner for Best Presentation in the spring of 22. Emily is now a student at SIUE Rural Medicine

Mikaela Kalaskie, '22

Mikaela was an Illinois State Academy of Science winner for Best Presentation in the spring of 22. She is currently working at Kedplasma in Springfield, IL

Kevin Marcus, '22

Kevin joined the lab and investigated protein-protein interactions. He is now a graduate student at the University of Minnesota.

Devan Morgan, '24

Devan formalized the processes we use to characterize microbial producers from the environment. She won "Best Undergraduate Presentation in Microbiology" at the Spring 2023 Illinois State Academy of Science Conference. She begins her new journey at the University of Illinois Veterinary School.

Rachael Rosentengel, '24

Rachael worked in various roles in the laboratory since she was a first-year student. In her senior year, she focused on the potential of antimicrobial compounds from different fungal samples. Rachael was a Biology major with a minor in English. She is currently a graduate school at University of Illinois Springfield
