Yoga Class
A time honored practice, yoga can help reduce stress, strengthen the body, increase flexibility, calm the mind, and improve overall health and sense of well-being. The classes will emphasize proper body alignment through physical postures, breathing, meditation, and relaxation techniques. This class is appropriate for all levels. No experience needed.
Embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and development with the Buddhist Meditation Class. Immerse yourself in ancient meditative practices guided by the wisdom of the Buddha and learn how to apply them in your everyday life so that you can cultivate inner peace, balance, mindfulness, and altruism.
Our one-hour service includes bowing, chanting, walking and sitting meditation as well as a short Dharma talk. This is a comprehensive and holistic approach to Buddhist practice for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. A brief introduction is provided beforehand to guide those unfamiliar with liturgical etiquette and the structure of the service. We welcome you, along with your family and friends, to join us to chant and hear the Buddha's teachings.

Core Teachings
Conceived as a starting point for those coming to Buddhism for the first time, Core Teachings is a guided tour of the most essential aspects of Buddhist wisdom and how they can be applied to our own lives and practice. Based on Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s book with the same title, this course aims to share Buddhism in a straightforward and accessible way.

Intro to the Pure Land School
In Buddhism, there are many paths to awakening. The Pure Land School focuses on faith, devotion, and practice. Through the 48 compassionate vows of Amitabha Buddha, the practitioners are assured to ascend to his Pure Land for enlightenment.
This course will include the historical background (origin, spread, founders in China), Core beliefs (Amitabha Buddha, Sukhavati world, the forty-eight vows), main practices and artistic and cultural impact. Other than that, Venerable Master Hsing Yun expanded the idea of rebirth in Pure Land to create a pure land in our daily lives through our actions, thoughts and environment.
